Case Study- Breath & Flame

Breath & Flame by Allison Landis is a lovely small business that creates Signature Scents for Candles & Linen Sprays along with offering Ritual Tools like Breath Work & Yoga.

It was such a pleasure to work with Allison, together we branded her online shop, offerings and 8 signature scents.

To have worked with Allison on her brand “Breath & Flame” was a dream come true for me. I was able to apply my style & skills in a unique way to revive her brand with color and a new vibrancy.

Vector & Collage Logo with Logo Symbol

When I create logos for clients, I always start with a vector logo that they will be able to use across many different platforms, materials and projects. For example, with a vector symbol you can order a one color stamp, a vinyl decal for a window or store front, an embroidery, etc. So it is essential to start with a basic vector that works in one color for any brand.

The second logo you see here is the “Collage” version or full color version of the logo which can be used in many places for both print and web. The goal was to add the butterfly wings to represent air or breath in addition to the feminine flame like portal of the vector logo.

The 3rd file you see here is the “Logo Symbol”. Creating a Logo Symbol is an essential addition to a brand and can be used in smaller areas like lids, stamps, favicons, social media profile images and more.

Allison has 8 different signature scents that we created custom artwork for. Each one embodies the elements and colors that align with the notes of the signature scents.

If you look closely you will see that I developed a “Scent Pyramid” to visually explain the levels or notes of the scents in each signature scent.
